M&G Real Estate, one of the UK’s largest property investors, has appointed Kevin Vickers as Director, Investment Management, to its long income real estate business.
He joined this week, and reports to Matthew Stone, Head of Long Income Real Estate, who joined in August. In his new role, Kevin will identify, structure and undertake transactions to support occupiers’ strategic and long term property holdings across the UK and Continental Europe on behalf of M&G’s long income funds, which have £6.5 billion of assets under management in the UK, Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Italy and Portugal.
Kevin joins from Deloitte, where he specialised in real estate finance; leading transactions and advising corporate occupiers across a diverse range of financial structures and property asset classes. Previous experience includes eight years as a Partner in Cushman & Wakefield’s Corporate Finance team, where he led corporate occupier-led transactions in addition to originating, arranging and executing sale and lease back deals. He also spent four years with Ernst & Young as a Senior Executive in its Real Estate Finance division.
Matthew Stone comments: “We have substantial funds available to help occupiers fund long term occupancy of their strategic real estate assets.
“Kevin brings a specialist and expert combination of property and corporate finance skills to our established team, reinforcing our capabilities and services to corporate occupiers, enabling them to unlock the value of their real estate assets.”
M&G has over 15 years’ experience of investing in UK long lease real estate, and launched its £3.3 billion M&G Secured Property Income Fund in 2007 for third party investors and its M&G European Secured Property Income Fund earlier this year.
