Bruton Knowles has made a key appointment to its Bristol-based Building Constancy team welcoming experienced Chartered Building Surveyor James Leeks.
James was the national head of Building Consultancy responsible for a team of 14 chartered surveyors prior to the Lambert Smith Hampton acquisition of ES Group and has more than 20 years’ experience of the commercial property market.
Paul Matthews, Team Leader at the firm’s Great George Street base, said: “James’ appointment is a real coup for the Bristol office. His experience over wide ranging commercial property sectors such as higher and further education, industrial, offices and retail is just what we require to further develop the fast growing team in Bristol.”
James’ strengths include advising property owners on strategy and working with colleagues and professionals in associated disciplines to provide clear commercially focused advice that knits in with clients’ business objectives.
Previous clients include HSBC, Osborne Clarke, South West Water, MITIE Group Plc, Bristol Water, Henderson and Avon Fire and Rescue.
Paul went on: “James will add further depth in terms of the range of services offered by the Bristol office, including project management, strategic estates advice, due diligence acquisition surveys, and dilapidations.”
James Leeks said: “Bruton Knowles has more than 150 years of surveying history providing professional property advice on a local and national basis and I am honoured to have been given the opportunity to develop the Bristol Building consultancy team.”
