Leading Midlands commercial developer, Trebor Developments LLP, has secured planning consent for the major development of the 12 acre Popes Lane site, Oldbury, on behalf of end user Steel and Alloy Processing Limited.
The planning was granted at Committee on the 9th November, with unanimous support, allowing the scheme to move forward to a start on site in January 2017.
The overall scheme of 270,000 sq ft will provide advanced manufacturing facilities and provides expansion to Steel and Alloys existing production facilities in West Bromwich.
It is a major project in the Midlands and represents a significant investment, post Brexit.
Bob Tattrie, Managing Partner, for Trebor Developments commented, “The granting of planning is great news and allows us to proceed onto site in January, using our fast track development process. We expect to see production start in Autumn 2017 and are delighted to be developing this facility on behalf of Steel and Alloy”.
Trebor Developments were represented by joint marketing agents, Knight Frank and Bulleys.
