Chartered surveyors in Lincoln are celebrating a special milestone, after investing in a relocation move.
The significant growth enjoyed by Banks Long & Co in recent years has led to its team needing more space and sparked its investment in prestigious new premises in Westgate.
Banks Long & Co Managing Director Tim Bradford said the move from its former home in St Mary’s Street, to larger offices in the historic heart of uphill Lincoln, was timely, adding that it underlined the 27-years-old firm’s ethos of delivering a top quality service to its wide range of clients.
“As a dynamic practice, which has grown and diversified into a commercial property consultancy serving the local, regional and national market, we needed more space but also a working environment which reflected our emphasis on providing a professional service and added value, wherever possible.
“In many ways, our success has been driven by our involvement in high profile local projects, including the expansion of the University of Lincoln, the ongoing redevelopment of the city’s Cornhill Quarter, the new Lincoln Transport Hub and multi-million pound investments along the city’s Brayford Waterfront,” said Mr Bradford.
“But while our firm’s core area for business has traditionally been the East Midlands (including Lincolnshire), we have found our expertise increasingly in demand across the wider UK, from the south coast to Scotland, and for anything from retail developments to medical centre investment.
“We are delighted that our growing success has also allowed us to offer jobs to the aspiring chartered surveyors of tomorrow by investing in local talent, we are keen that this should not be lost to Lincolnshire.”
Banks Long & Co took a “business as usual” approach to its move, by trading from its former premises until last Friday (Nov 4) and welcoming its first clients to its new offices in Westgate this week (Nov 7).
