Attendees to the popular Swansea Bay Business Club’s October lunch enjoyed the talk held by entrepreneur and winner of BBC’s ‘The Apprentice’, Joseph Valente which took place at the Marriot Hotel, Swansea earlier this month (21st October).
Joseph delighted the audience as he shared stories of his time on the hit TV show and working with business magnate, Sir Alan Sugar.
During the event, sponsored by GCS Training (the business training arm of Gower College Swansea), guests were encouraged to ask Joseph questions about his career and business, Impra Gas, as they enjoyed a three course meal and networking opportunities with businesses from across Swansea Bay and beyond.
President of Swansea Bay Business Club, Hayley Davies comments: “We have received great feedback from our members who enjoyed hearing from Joseph today. Alongside his work commitments, Joseph is also heavily involved with supporting young people, offering one-on-one mentoring sessions, work place programmes and being a voice for change in the way the national curriculum is currently designed, which also proved a popular topic of conversation at the lunch.
“We look forward to welcoming members, and non-members, to our next event on Beaujolais day, where we will welcome stand-up comedian Josh Daniels to our event. A charming, comedy natural, Josh will prove the perfect accompaniment to a three course lunch and a bottle of Beaujolais (or any other tipple, for that matter).”
Beaujolais Day is a must attend event in the Swansea business calendar, with this year’s event anticipated to attract in excess of 100 attendees. Bookings will close at midnight on Thursday 10th November. To avoid disappointment early booking is recommended.
