Rachel Hardy has been appointed as a director in the assurance and business services department at Smith & Williamson, the accountancy, investment management and tax group. At the same time Mark Munro has also joined the team as a senior manager.
With fifteen years of experience in accountancy, Rachel joins the firm from Foresters Friendly Society, which was a long standing client from her nine years working for BDO LLP. She is FCA qualified with the ICAEW.
Rachel said, “I am delighted to join the assurance and business services team at Smith & Williamson, the depth and breadth of experience on offer was of huge appeal to me. I am passionate about working with start-up and high growth companies and specialise in the technology sector. I am looking forward to working with Smith & Williamson’s new Scale-Up initiative, which is seeking to help increase the proportion of Scale-up businesses in the UK.”
Mark joins Smith & Williamson from James Cowper Kreston where he trained as an accountant and gained his ACA qualification. He brings with him a wealth of experience of owner managed and listed businesses and is well known in the local market due to his wide variety of clients.
