Top 50 UK law firm Browne Jacobson has announced plans to move its Manchester office to Allied London’s No.1 Spinningfields.
Browne Jacobson will be quadrupling their existing office accommodation when they move into their new premises in September 2017, where they have taken a ten-year lease on 11,055 square feet of Grade A high performance office space in the heart of the award-winning Spinningfields estate.
The new 260,000 sq. ft commercial building in the heart of Spinningfields is the tallest commercial building to be built in the city in the last 50 years and will be the crowning jewel in one of the most successful business districts in Europe.
Leading the way in professional workspace, No.1 Spinningfields will boast an elegant and sophisticated business environment, alongside unprecedented amenity in a world class location providing unrivalled, panoramic views of Manchester from Browne Jacobson’s 14th floor office.
The decision by Browne Jacobson to relocate from its current premises at 3 Piccadilly Place follows a period of sustained growth for the firm and coincides with its plans to expand its service offering in the North West, grow its headcount and continue to deliver exceptional client service to its growing public and private sector client base.
The firm will leave Picadilly Place and relocate to temporary premises at Tower 12 in Spinningfields this month until work is completed on Manchester’s new flagship office development.
Over the last five years Browne Jacobson has seen revenues grow nationally by over 80 per cent. The Manchester office, which has seen significant headcount growth since its opening in February 2012, has also posted impressive financial results with 25 per cent growth for 2015/16.
Sarah Walker Smith, Chief Operating Officer at Browne Jacobson, said:
“We are really excited at the prospect of moving to No.1 Spinningfields. We see this as a game changer for Browne Jacobson in the North West and is another major milestone on our journey to develop and grow our offering, both regionally and nationally.
“Our move into the heart of one of the most successful financial and commercial districts in Europe is a reflection of our confidence in our Manchester team and our ambitions to grow our North West operation even further.
“No.1 Spinningfields is a world class development and is on a par with the very best corporate buildings in the UK.
“It will provide our people and clients with a first class innovative workspace and an extensive array of in house business and staff services to help us to attract and retain the best talent we can in what is one of the largest and most vibrant business centres outside the capital.”
Chris Reay, Spinningfields Estate Director commented: “No.1 Spinningfields is the perfect environment for thriving corporate businesses.
Offering the first D&D Conran rooftop restaurant outside of London located on the 19th floor and providing 360 views of the ever changing Manchester skyline, No.1 Spinningfields is a truly unique office space.
“The world class work space encapsulates the Spinningfields offering, Grade A office space, first class business lounge, premium retail food and an exclusive restaurant, champagne and oyster bar – it mixes business and pleasure perfectly. The development is the accumulation of over ten years of work across the thriving commercial estate, unrivalled by any other across the region.
“The overall Spinningfields offer attracted Browne Jacobson to the estate providing staff with a premium environment to flourish whilst supporting the firm’s ambitious growth plans.
We look forward to seeing this come to fruition and welcoming the Browne Jacobson team to No.1 Spinningfields as the building launches next spring.”
