A leading independent property surveying practice which has worked on Buckingham Palace and Horse Guards Parade unveiled its new corporate structure and strapline at the Gherkin skyscraper.
McAndrew Martin chartered surveyors, architects and engineers held the showcase in the exclusive Searcys private members’ club at the top of the iconic London landmark.
Managing Director Bill McAndrew and Director of Surveying London Gareth Pryce outlined the Portsmouth-based firm’s multidisciplinary services and explained the concept behind its new motto, ‘Professional Solutions by Design’.
This bold development reflects the expanding firm’s ambitious growth plans and strengthen its position in Hampshire, London and the South.
Managing Director Bill said: “I have gained a detailed understanding of what clients want over the years.
“They require someone working closely with them to deal with the issues and opportunities they may have for any particular property or site.
“Our new strapline identifies exactly how we do this, which is designing solutions that apply specifically to their needs, to ensure they achieve their objectives.
“It’s an ethos we have taken on board as a company and have developed six separate disciplines within the business all headed by highly experienced senior professionals in their own right.
“This will allow us to deliver a seamless multi-disciplinary service for any project from beginning to end as well as bespoke solutions to meet client requirements.”
The company’s six disciplines outlined at the showcase were:
· Building surveying
· Project management and contract administration
· Mechanical and electrical engineering
· Structural engineering
· Architecture
· General practice
They allow McAndrew Martin to meet individual client requirements and provide an overarching service with full end to end design solutions.
Director of Surveying London Gareth added: “Our showcase was a tremendously successful event at a fitting venue for a business of the calibre of McAndrew Martin.
“Our great thanks to all of our staff for their hard work in arranging the event and to the guests who came along to help us celebrate the dawn of a new era as we look forward to an exciting future.”
Guests enjoyed canapés, refreshments and networking as well as drinks and stunning 360 views from the bar at the tip of the Gherkin.
There was also a presentation from director of architecture James Bengree about the ground-breaking design of the Gherkin.
Key directors of each discipline were on hand, including Lee Sergeant, Bruce Scott, James Bengree and Noor Awan.
Other senior members of the McAndrew Martin’s management team at the event included Director of General Practice Ian Lee and Director of Operations Sam Rix.
Gareth Pryce led the event after joining McAndrew Martin earlier this year.
Experienced Chartered Surveyor Gareth joined the firm from Interserve where he was Head of Projects South.
Established in 1989, McAndrew Martin is based in Portsmouth and works across Hampshire, London and the South. It is also in the process of opening an office in London shortly.
