Richborough Estates, a leading Birmingham-based independent strategic land promoter, has appointed Haydn Jones as a Planning Director, kick-starting a reorganisation of the company’s national approach.
Haydn joins Richborough from national planning consultancy Pegasus Group, where he was based for more than 10 years. Although working on both residential and commercial schemes, Haydn’s most recent experience has involved delivering residential permissions for clients, which of course included Richborough Estates.
Haydn’s appointment comes at a time when Richborough is handling an increasing number of live projects and will ensure that the company is generating the best returns for its clients while ensuring it is aware of new opportunities.
Haydn’s role as Planning Director means that he will lead on planning strategy which will ultimately determine which areas of the country the business should be focused. His role will also involve navigating a number of key sites through the planning system and leading on the ultimate disposal via competitive tender.
In his capacity as a planning consultant with Pegasus Haydn has worked closely with Richborough on a number of its land promotions and has already built a strong rapport with the team.
Karl Parkinson-Witte, Joint-Managing Director of Richborough Estates, said: “As the company has grown we have decided to reorganise and widen our geographic reach in order to improve efficiency and maximise opportunities. Haydn is a key part of this change and will be helping to implement this change and potentially help develop new regions.
“We are very pleased that he has made the decision to come and join us from Pegasus. He is a professional operator and a fantastic planner; we already know that he will fit in well with our approach to land promotion and commitment to providing the best possible returns to our clients. This is an exciting new chapter and we are pleased to have Haydn with us.”
