Two businesses have significantly expanded their operations at Old Dalby Business Park in Leicestershire.
Toyota Material Handling UK has taken an additional 50,000 sq ft in Unit 4 at the site on Old Dalby Lane, Melton Mowbray. The company has agreed a two year lease with the landlord, Hortons’ Estate Ltd.
The company, which manufactures fork-lift trucks, already occupies
100,000 sq ft in Unit 1 and has increased its space to cater for further business requirements.
Fun Bikes Ltd, a specialist manufacturer, importer and retailer, supplying a wide variety of children’s and adult indoor and outdoor vehicles and toys, has taken an additional 35,000 sq ft of space in Unit 5, on a new five-year lease.
The company currently occupies 16,500 sq ft in Unit 2F.
Old Dalby Business Park comprises 12 industrial/warehousing units, totaling circa 600,000 sq ft of which there is now less than 20,000 sq ft available to let. There is also development land available for design and build industrial/warehouse space.
Birmingham-based family-owned property company Hortons’ acquired the business park in July from Canmoor, which was acting on behalf of an American investment fund.
Richard Norgrove, property director at Hortons’, said: “We are pleased to have been able to facilitate the expansion of both Toyota Material Handling UK and Fun Bikes Ltd.
“When we acquired the site, we did so with a view to adding value through proactive asset management and working closely with the tenants to help grow and expand their businesses, a strategy that these recent lettings demonstrate is working.”
