Swansea-based law firm DJM Solicitors has appointed director and head of commercial property Michael Snowdon as chairman.
Initially joining the company over 40 years ago, Michael’s role will involve overseeing the firm’s strategic direction, alongside new shareholders, and working with practice director Barry Davies to develop a cohesive marketing strategy.
The appointment comes as part of a change in ownership structure at DJM Solicitors with directors Sheraz Akram, Philip Graham, and Jonathan Powell each having taken an equity stake in the practice together with existing owners Michael Snowdon and Michael Price.
Founded in 1946, DJM Solicitors employs over 50 people and represents a wide range of national, regional and local clients. The firm was recently praised in the prestigious Legal 500 guide.
Michael Snowdon said:
“I’m delighted to be appointed chairman of DJM having worked at the practice for over four decades. The legal profession faces a number of significant challenges and opportunities and I am looking forward to leading the firm at this exciting time.”
Practice Director, Barry Davies, said:
“Michael Snowdon has been paramount to the growth and development of DJM over the years and the board is delighted to recognise his contribution through the creation of this new role.
“The Chairman’s role will be important as we look to develop our client base and consolidate our strong reputation in the market place. I look forward to working closely with him to build on our success of recent years.”
