Confidence among occupiers at Pure Offices Business Centre in Portishead has defied Brexit gloom with 11 new tenants and nine expansions in recent weeks.
The new occupants including planning, equity release, training, marketing, financial, chiropractic and IT companies, have now taken the total to over 100.
On top of the number of expansions at the centre, several more businesses are recruiting and investing with plans for taking more space. Two large occupiers have been so successful they have outgrown the centre and moved to bigger premises.
Their moves were made easy by Pure’s system of flexible monthly licences, allowing occupiers to fulfil their growth potential without being tied down to long leases.
Centre Manager Kim Batchelor said “just a handful of customers reported a slowdown after the referendum but the mood at the centre was now very much looking forward. Occupiers believe strong leadership and a positive plan to move forward were key to maintaining confidence in the economy”.
“All the business owners I talk to at the moment feel business is going well. There has been a marked improvement in recent years and the current growth we are seeing reflects this upbeat mood. Those who have left the Centre have done so because they were doing so well and their space was quickly taken up by others wanting to move in or expand.
Also those attending the monthly Pure Business Networking Breakfast seem very optimistic about the future, and this reflects a wide variety of business owners from North Somerset and Bristol.”
