Salmon Harvester Properties (SHP) has announced further lettings at its £20 million Mulberry Walk development in Mere Green, Sutton Coldfield.
Mulberry Walk will complete in October and open in January 2017. It is creating a new town centre by delivering 55,361 sq ft of much needed retail and leisure units to one of Birmingham’s most fashionable suburbs.
Bistrot Pierre has agreed a 25 -year lease on a 3,824 sq ft unit and will be joining other leisure operators Loungers, Prezzo and Café Nero. Rents of £25 per sq ft are being achieved at the scheme.
Salmon Harvester has also signed up Boots Optician for a 1,058 sq ft store, Card Factory for 1,075 sq ft and Specsavers for 1,293 sq ft all on 10- year leases. Other occupiers will include Marks & Spencer Simply Food, Boots and Greene King.
Rorie Henderson, Development Director at SHP commented: “We are excited to be completing this project later this year. Both the local community and retail and restaurant market has responded positively to this development, which includes external seating for restaurant units on a new pedestrian walkway, a Village Square and a dedicated 75 space car park. We are currently over 60% pre-let with a number of other deals in solicitors hands.”
