Leeds Chamber Property Forum has named Jeff Pearey as its new chair. Jeff, who is Lead Director – Yorkshire and North East, at global property consultants JLL, takes over from outgoing chair Andrew Latchmore, Partner at Leeds law firm Shulmans, who has held the role since 2012.
With a career spanning over 30 years, for the last 24 Jeff has held senior positions in the property sector and is considered one of the region’s pre-eminent agents. Jeff has played a key role in many of the region’s major office agency deals and developments, including MEPC’s Wellington Place, CEG’s Kirkstall Forge and Munroe K’s White Rose Office Park.
Speaking on his appointment Jeff said: “I’m particularly excited to take on the role at a time when there are huge opportunities for Leeds to help create the right conditions for business and enterprise to thrive. With a new Prime Minister and Cabinet, our collaboration as a business community via the Chamber and linkages with the public sector is even more important.
“I am relishing the opportunity to represent the wider views of the forum’s members to strategically elevate Leeds’ business credentials and its property offering to an even wider audience.”
