One of the East Midlands’ most influential chartered surveyors and property consultants, Wells McFarlane has just been announced as a finalist in this year’s prestigious Rural Business Awards. This is the second year of the hugely successful Rural Business Awards, launched in 2015 to recognise the people and products behind the UK’s thriving rural business sector.
Based in the heart of the bustling market town of Lutterworth on Junction 20 of the M1, Wells McFarlane operates throughout the East Midlands, providing its diverse range of clients with a bespoke and professional service advising on all aspects of land and farm management, including diversification, planning legislation and business development.
Rural Business Awards co-founder, Jemma Clifford commented: “We were hugely impressed by the number and calibre of this year’s award entries. Last year the Rural Business Awards showed just how many outstanding businesses there are across rural England, Scotland and Wales and this has been proved once again this year. The number of entrants has increased and the standard of entries is even higher than before. Every business that has been named as a finalist has demonstrated excellence in their category and to have reached this level in the competition is a testament to this.
“Wells McFarlane met the high standard required to be named one of the 14 finalists in the Best Rural Professional Services category. Their entry outlined a range of impressive case studies that detailed their previous work, particularly supporting rural diversification, and provided a series of customer testimonials that illustrated their dedicated level of customer service. We wish Wells McFarlane, and all of the finalists, the best of luck at the Awards Ceremony in October.”
Delighted to have made the shortlist in the ‘Best Rural Professional Services Business’ category Michelle Mills, Wells McFarlane’s director said: “To be named a finalist for an award that specifically acknowledges what we are all about is a tremendous achievement. Our work is a partnership with the farmers and landowners we’re proud to call clients and as a small firm of handpicked professionals accolades like this demonstrate we are certainly ‘punching above our weight’. Whatever the outcome of the awards, just being part of it will certainly spur us onwards.”
The Rural Business Awards will be presented at The Belfry Hotel on Thursday 13th October 2016.
