The South Central office of CBRE has appointed David Mathieson as a Director within its Specialist Markets Valuation Team.
David qualified as a chartered surveyor in 1995 and spent eight years as a commercial investment valuation surveyor with DTZ and Cushman & Wakefield in Scotland before relocating to Hampshire in 2003 as a Valuation Services Manager based in Winchester.
Over the last 13 years, David has gained extensive experience providing loan security valuations for all major banks in the UK. As a RICS Registered Valuer, David’s focus is on business valuations of healthcare (young adults/elderly/dementia/nursing plus specialist units), licensed premises, hotels and golf clubs.
He has extensive knowledge of the independent education sector and has been involved with a number of established schools across southern England.
David’s appointment follows a continued expansion of CBRE’s National Specialist Markets team across its network of UK offices to meet increased demand from new and existing clients. He will be responsible for valuation advisory work principally across the south with an emphasis on healthcare and private education.
Commenting on David’s appointment, Stephen Whitworth, Valuation Senior Director at CBRE Southampton, said:
“David joins our successful Specialist Markets team at an exciting time as the sector experiences increased buoyancy and investment. As a result of the strong sector activity and service lines offered, we are continuing to invest in our teams to ensure that we offer the most comprehensive service to our wide-ranging client base. David has extensive sector-related valuation expertise and his knowledge will be a tremendous asset to the growth in the team both nationally and regionally.”
David Mathieson added:
“I am delighted to have joined CBRE’s Specialist Markets team and look forward to expanding the service lines offering and working with clients across the region.”
