Carter Jonas, the UK property consultancy, has appointed Adam Harman as Partner within its planning and development team. Harman, who will be based out of Carter Jonas’s head office in London, has over 25 years’ experience advising on complex development, asset value enhancement and development-related relocation projects.
Harman joins from University College London (UCL) where from 2012 he held the position of Project Director leading UCL’s expansion in East London. Reporting to the University’s senior management and key stakeholders, Harman secured a development agreement with the London Legacy Development Corporation on 10 acres of land for a new campus on the Olympic Park and approval for the £400m development of the 500,000 sq. ft. first phase buildings.
Previously, Harman worked for 13 years at Drivers Jonas, latterly Drivers Jonas Deloitte, where he was a Partner from 2002. Harman has also held roles at Jonathan Edwards Ltd, Hawk Development Management and Speyhawk plc
His experience includes advising National Grid on many of its sites, including as part of the Battersea/Nine Elms development, and as lead advisor to the GLA, LDA and Newham Council on the strategy and promotion of the 35 acre Royal Albert Docks in East London. Harman has a wealth of experience in the public, private and corporate sector and will focus at Carter Jonas on initiatives to add value to client’s interests.
