Global recruitment agency Randstad is relocating its Birmingham office from Fort Dunlop to a new base in the city centre.
The company has signed a five-year lease agreement with the landlord, CBRE Global Investors, on 3,260 sq ft on the top floor of Ten Colmore Row.
The property, which comprises 21,457 sq ft of grade A office accommodation over six floors, is now fully let. Tenants include Trowers & Hamlins, Skanska and UBS Wealth Management.
CBRE Global Investors acquired Ten Colmore Row and the neighbouring Great Western Arcade from Aviva Investors in 2014 for £15.1million on behalf of a pension fund client.
Since then it has completed a comprehensive asset management programme at the building to bring it up to modern occupier standards.
CBRE advised CBRE Global Investors on the letting.
Theo Holmes, director in the office agency team at CBRE in Birmingham, said: “Ten Colmore Row occupies a prime position in the Colmore Business District. The investment CBRE Global Investors has made and is continuing to make in the property, with the office reception due to be refurbished, since acquiring it in 2014 has helped attract and retain tenants.
“Indeed, in the last 12 months we have regeared UBS Wealth Management’s lease, with the company committing to another five years in the building.”
Edward Charlesworth, senior associate pooled funds at CBRE Global Investors, added: “ We are pleased to welcome Randstad to Ten Colmore Row. The building is well located in a prime location in the Colmore Business District and sees a lot of interest with international tenants who are looking for flexible, modern office space that meets all of today’s requirements.”
