Acting on behalf of a private Landlord investment company, Goadsby are delighted to announce the letting of the ground floor of 50 High Street, Salisbury to The Trussell Trust, a local charity who run community projects such as foodbanks that combat poverty and marginalisation in the UK and Bulgaria.
50 High Street occupies a prominent corner position in Salisbury City Centre, close to the entrance of the Old George Mall and a short walk from the Cathedral. Goadsby and The Trussell Trust have negotiated a three year lease on the ground floor of the property, giving The Trussell Trust its first city centre shop. The Trussell Trust now has six shops in Salisbury and Dorset, three of which have been leased through Goadsby.
David McAuley of the Trussell Trust comments:-
‘The Trussell Trust is seeing an increasing demand for its services here in Salisbury and right across the UK, we hope this exciting new venture will help to raise much needed funds to help us meet the need. We are asking local people who could spare a few hours to volunteer in the new shop to give us a ring on 01722 411244.’
Alex Hirst who negotiated the deal comments:- “We were pleased to assist The Trussell Trust in finding additional premises. They are a good local charity and we hope their new premises are a real success.”
This letting now means that 50 High Street is fully let after Goadsby also recently agreed a letting to Richard Griffith and Co Solicitors on the offices on the upper floors.
Goadsby are also managing agents for the property, which meant the Landlord was alerted to a potential void period enabling them to react early to reduce their liability. Paul Stewart, the Deputy Managing Director of Goadsby and the Property Manager comments:- “Being pro-active, and working closely with our agency colleagues has enabled us to return this building to a fully yielding property, in quick time”
