The Highways division of Nottinghamshire based North Midland Construction PLC (NM Group) has secured a four year contract worth up to £5m per annum with Highways England.
NM Group has been selected as a general civil engineering contractor on their Area 7 Construction Works Framework, which covers maintenance, renewal and improvements to key motorways and trunk roads across the East Midlands including M1, A42, M45, M69, A1, A5 and A14. NM Group will provide a range of services, including construction and ancillary removal activities to highway drainage assets, earthworks, site clearance, non illuminated traffic signs and posts and general civil engineering.
Highways England now has all key Area 7 contracts in place, as part of a step change to bring its asset and operational management functions back in house for the region. The framework is part of new asset led delivery model which sees which sees Highways England building direct, collaborative relationships with its supply chain partners.
