Salmon Harvester Properties (SHP) has achieved practical completion of its internally funded 55,000 sq ft Axiom industrial/warehouse development on Orbital Park, Ashford, Kent.
The £8 million scheme comprises seven buildings of various sizes ranging from 3,000 sq ft to 12,500 sq ft and Howdens Joinery has completed a 15-year lease for an 8,000 sq ft unit at a rent of £9.50 per sq ft.
SHP is now marketing to let or sell the remaining buildings which are immediately ready for occupation.
Salmon Director Pat Mahoney said: “This is the first new-build industrial development in Ashford completed since before the last recession so we expect to benefit from the pent-up occupier demand. We are delighted that Howdens has franked the attraction of the scheme from an occupier’s point of view and we look forward to completing more deals shortly”.
SHP owns other land immediately adjacent to Axiom which is available for development of design and build schemes by SHP for occupiers or for sale.
Strutt & Parker and Altus Group advised SHP with Howdens Joinery represented by Montagu Evans.
