A South East building consultancy firm has moved into the West Midlands, establishing a base in Birmingham at the heart of the city’s professional services sector.
Propitas has taken 830 sq ft, on a five year term at £25 per sq ft, on part of the third floor at 75 – 77 Colmore Row, overlooking the St Philips Cathedral in Real Estate Investors’ flagship headquarters building on Colmore Row.
Ian Clark, senior asset manager at REI, said: “REI has been using Propitas on a number of schemes and we look forward to building on our relationship with them as neighbours now.”
Propitas is a commercial building surveying and project management practice established in 2007 by Lori Clarke and Elliott Dawson.
Birmingham is the firm’s third office, having built up a presence in the south east through their London and Crawley offices.
Equity partner and head of Propitas’ Birmingham office Chris Hodgson said: “We are delighted to have secured space in such a prominent location in Birmingham.
“We have only had a physical presence in the region for 11 months, so this deal represents a significant statement of intent for Propitas.
“We have recently recruited a new associate to meet the increase in demand for our commercial building surveying and project management services, so this space gives us the perfect platform to grow the business, underpinned by key local clients such as REI.”
South east-based law firm Mundays, acted on behalf of Propitas. Baldev Kang of CBTC Millichips in West Bromwich advised REI.
