St. Modwen, owner of Longbridge Technology Park in Longbridge, has secured deals with four businesses taking space at its Innovation Centre and Two Devon Way office buildings in a matter of weeks.
The UK’s leading regeneration specialist has revealed that demand for space at the business park has been unprecedented, with almost 95 per cent of space now occupied across the Innovation Centre and Two Devon Way buildings.
New firms moving into the Innovation Centre include VoiceSage, an interactive and automated messaging company which has occupied 600 sq ft of offices; Day Out With The Kids, a business specialising in identifying and promoting days out across the UK, which has taken 714 sq ft of space; whilst Mclean Global, experts in slip-risk assessments and specialist anti-slip solutions has taken 218 sq ft.
Meanwhile, 123 Reg Ltd, part of Europe’s largest privately owned hosting provider, HEG, has moved from the Innovation Centre into larger 926 sq ft offices at Two Devon Way in order to cater to its growing business needs.
James Teal, Innovation Centre Manager at St. Modwen, said: “Offering flexible, serviced offices which boast an established network of technology businesses, hyperfast broadband, and excellent transport connections, the Technology Park has been an ongoing success since its opening in 2008.
“These latest lettings show our ability to provide an excellent service at both the Innovation Centre and Two Devon Way, and the attraction of a facility that allows the flexibility for occupiers to grow from the Innovation Centre to the larger space provided at 2 Devon Way.”
The Technology Park itself is home to almost 60 businesses and is now recognised as one of the leading tech hubs in the West Midlands, with occupiers including Aristi, Ballyhoo, Co-operative Web, Host Europe Group, iON Cameras, SRG and Tech Jump.
Established in 1997, HEG owns and operates seven data centre facilities in Europe and USA, supported by over 1,000 employees. The business has over 1.7 million customers and more than 7 million domain names under management.
Richard Winslow, 123 Reg Managing Director, said: “Our Longbridge office, which we established in the Innovation Centre in 2013 is a key part of our UK network of centres in Leeds, Woking, Nottingham and London.
“As an expanding international business, connectivity is key – the location of the Technology Park, close to the M5 and M42 is ideal, whilst the flexible lease terms and office spaces available actively supports business expansion. We look forward to entering the next chapter for the business as the company continues to grow.”
Located off the A38 Bristol Road South at the heart of St. Modwen’s £100 million Longbridge Town Centre, Longbridge Technology Park benefits from excellent road and motorway links and is just two minutes’ walk from Longbridge Railway Station, which offers direct access to Birmingham with trains running every 10 minutes.
