An office building in Glasgow’s premier business address is now fully let after two new tenants moved in.
145 St Vincent Street has signed up Lockton, Corporate Scotland, part of the world’s largest privately-owned corporate insurance broker and Panoramic Growth Equity, a leading equity investor.
Both deals were negotiated by JLL and Ryden on behalf of Aberdeen Asset Management PLC.
Lockton took the 4,282 sq. ft. fifth floor on a ten-year lease, while Panoramic has let a 1,865 sq. ft. space on the third floor. Syntel Europe also acquired the entire second floor in the building following the completion of the refurbishment last year.
Alistair Reid, Director at JLL, said: “145 St Vincent Street has proved hugely attractive to tenants. Not only does it benefit from its location, but the building itself is of the highest quality, with modern open plan office space and amenities including internal bike racks, shower facilities and garaged car parking.”
Situated on the corner of St Vincent Street and Wellington Street, the building is close to both Glasgow Central and Queen Street stations, while the M8 motorway can also be quickly accessed.
Stuart Dobrijevic of Aberdeen Asset Management said: “On behalf of our client we are delighted that 145 St Vincent Street is now 100% occupied and home to a desirable mix of high quality businesses operating across a range of sectors. By investing significantly in the building we have delivered high quality office accommodation and transformed the common parts. These attributes in conjunction with the superb location and building prominence have attracted the attention of several businesses in recent months. JLL, Ryden, Whitecross Building Consultancy and CMS provided us with first class advice and worked closely with our new and existing occupiers to achieve this fully let result.”
There are numerous bars and restaurants close to the building, while nearby Bothwell Street has several retail outlets including a Sainsbury’s Local and Starbucks.
Other tenants in 145 St Vincent Street include Morton Fraser LLP, Arcus Consultancy and McLay McAlister McGibbon LLP.
