The power of Twitter has led to a Much Wenlock photographer having his creations displayed in the reception of a Shrewsbury law firm for all to see.
Linder Myers Solicitors expanded into Talbot House in Shrewsbury at the end of last year and the building underwent a huge refurbishment.
The new reception area needed to be furnished and Bill Jarvis, managing partner for the Shropshire region, said it was decided a display of photographs of the county taken by a professional working in the region would be interesting and unusual for visitors.
He said: “We had made contact with a number of photographers who had expressed an interest but things were progressing slowly until our receptionist Leanne put out a message on Twitter.”
The tweet was spotted by Shifnal and Shrewsbury florist Jan Park, of Blue, who re-tweeted it to Richard Harris, a photographer from Glendale, Much Wenlock, who works on wedding photography.
Richard, 22, has been taken photographs of Shropshire since his early teenage years and draws his inspiration from the light and weather that surrounds him.
He said: “My work focuses on documenting weddings, fine art and portraits but the Linder Myers display was created exclusively for them in January 2012 to encompass some of the rural elements of Shropshire, I hope their visitors enjoy it.”
The eight photographs, showing the landscape around the Much Wenlock area, are now on display and are already attracting a lot of attention from Linder Myers clients.
“It is great that through Twitter we were able to find Richard and source these wonderful photographs for the new reception area,” added Mr Jarvis.
“Now that we are a bigger firm and have more and more clients coming in from across Shropshire it is great to have scenes of the county on display.”
