Leading Nottingham accountancy firm UHY Hacker Young has bolstered its team following seven new promotions in its audit and accounts teams alongside a promotion at director level.
In a series of promotions, UHY’s team has celebrated a number of key changes, especially in its audit team. Alex Hoctor and Daniel Grant-Hunter have been promoted to audit seniors, Nicola Cottee, Daniel Waymont and Rebekah Harrison have been promoted to audit supervisors and Julie Parry has been promoted to audit and accounts manager.
The firms newly promoted director, David Allum joined UHY as an audit senior in 2002, rising through the ranks to management level in 2005. David has continued to develop his career at UHY, which has invested in his development and supported him in pursuing his new role as director.
With more than thirteen years’ audit experience behind him, David’s new appointment is part of the firm’s continued plans for growth regionally and nationally. As part of his development David was enrolled into a training scheme, which UHY launched to help nurture up and coming individuals in the firm.
David, who is based at UHY’s Nottingham office, is looking forward to the new challenges ahead.
He said: “I am delighted to have taken this next step in my career and I cannot wait to be part of UHY’s future. The culture here at UHY is fantastic as it focusses on rewarding and helping people while developing their skills. I am a testament to this ethos, as I started working as an audit senior before working my way up to the role of a manager.
“This promotion has been a natural next step for me, as I have continued to develop my role in the business and work to support UHY’s ongoing plans for growth.
“I am excited to take on a whole new role and help to develop with the company while creating my own portfolio of clients; furthering our existing success. It will be great to develop new skills during this positive period of growth.”
David has a number of years of general practice experience dealing with owner managed business. In his previous role, David supported a wide range of small and medium sized entities, dealing with both audit and non-audit clients in a wide variety of sectors.
