Anglo Holt Construction has appointed a new bid manager as it continues its drive for new business in a variety of sectors including automotive and industrial, education, distribution, commercial, retail and leisure.
Garry Martin has joined the West Bromwich-based company bringing with him more than 29 years’ experience in the construction industry.
Garry, who began his career as a site engineer, has been played a key role in securing projects worth in excess of £200 million.
They include the £18 million construction of Warwickshire College Campus, the £9.1 million design and build of West Midland Fire HQ, and the £8.7 million design and construction of 80 apartments at the Arcadian Centre in Birmingham.
Previous roles include partnership manager for the Birmingham Construction Partnership at Midlands construction group GF Tomlinson and bid manager at Ashford Construction. He was also a site manager at Wimpey Construction/Tarmac Building.
Garry, aged 50, from Castle Bromwich, Birmingham, said: “Anglo Holt is a forward-thinking company with a fantastic track record in construction stretching back over 40 years. I am very pleased to join the team here and I am looking forward to securing some exciting projects which enable us to demonstrate our unrivalled experience and expertise.”

Garry gained a BSc Hons in Civil Engineering at Nottingham (Trent) University. Married with two children, his interests include watching (and still playing) football and listening to classic rock.
