US owned PCI Pharma Services has acquired 26,500 sq ft at Unit 6 Tafarnaubach Industrial Estate in Tredegar, in a continued expansion of its operations as a fully integrated service provider for the global healthcare industry.
The company, which acquired Tredegar based Penn Pharma in July 2014, has taken a lease of Unit 6 Tafarnaubach Industrial Estate to expand their operations on the estate, supplementing their purpose-built contained manufacturing facility. Cushman & Wakefield acted on behalf of the landlord, Ashtenne Industrial Fund LLP.
Chris Yates, senior surveyor in Cushman & Wakefield’s industrial agency team in Cardiff, said: “We are delighted to have facilitated a major local employer, PCI Pharma Services, in expanding their operations at Tafarnaubach Industrial Estate.
“Our client, Ashtenne Industrial Fund LLP, demonstrated their commitment and proactive asset management by undertaking a comprehensive refurbishment of the property, which ultimately paid dividends. The property further benefits from good quality two storey office accommodation, is situated on a secure site of 2.8 acres and has excellent road communications, adjacent to the A465 Heads of the Valleys Road – all of which were recognised by PCI”.
Norman Barras, managing director of PCI Pharma Services based in Tredegar, added: “The Tredegar site has benefited from significant investment over recent years and I am delighted that we are continuing to grow as a site. This additional footprint will ensure we are able to meet our growth demands moving forward.”
