Bosses and staff at an accountants on the Shropshire border are celebrating 30 years in business with a dedicated team who have clocked up more than 40 years working for local businesses.
Mike Griffiths & Partners, which is based in Gresford and Chirk, was first launched in March 1982 by Mike Griffiths and the company has successfully grown ever since.
James Denton took over the business from Mr Griffiths four years ago after joining the company in April 2008.
Mr Denton from Oswestry said it was a privilege to be given the chance to buy such a successful firm from Mr Griffiths and he was pleased to be able to continue the name and continue to offer new jobs for local people.
The father-of-three has since opened a new office in Chirk to enable closer contact for clients in Shropshire which has boosted the total number of staff to six.
Mr Denton, 33, of MGP Accountants said: “Although we work with clients across the UK, our real passion lies with local people and businesses.
“We offer great opportunities for start-up businesses and ensure we support that business every step of the way to enable them to reach their full potential of success.
“We are still working with clients today which were the original start-up businesses 30 years ago but now three decades on they are much more than that and we are proud to still be working with them.”
Mr Denton said clients would be enjoying a string of offers throughout the month to help celebrate the 30 year anniversary. In addition, new clients taken on this year will also be able to enjoy these offers.
“It is the hard work of my staff which makes this company such a success and that dedication is proved by some staff members who have been here nearly as long as the company has existed.
“Our belief in personal service is what our clients enjoy most. This is vital for the businesses to prosper as we fully understand their needs.
“The door at MGP is always open and that means clients can discuss their business face-to-face.
“We have recently opened a new office in Chirk as we wanted to offer an office closer than Wrexham to those clients in Shropshire and especially those in the Chirk area,” Mr Denton said.
MGP offer services including accounts, auditing, business start-ups, company formations, payroll bureau services, VAT, self assessment and ersonal and corporate tax planning.
