Leading property consultancy CBRE has announced it has sold a retail unit on Princes Street in Edinburgh on behalf of the vendor, Lancashire County Pension Fund, c/o Knight Frank Investment Management.
129-130 Princes Street in Edinburgh’s city centre, currently trading as an HMV store, has been acquired by Sports Directs. The unit extends to approximately 20,500 sq ft over four levels.
Callum Mortimer, director in CBRE’s Retail team, commented on the sale: “It is great news that we’ve been able to secure the sale of this prominent unit in the city centre for our client. Sports Direct is a very well-known and popular brand and assuming it decides to occupy the unit, it will be a welcome addition to the retail offering on Princes Street.”
