Cushman & Wakefield has expanded its recently-created UK Healthcare Advisory team, led by Martin Robb, with Tom Robinson joining as a Director.
Tom joins from Savills where he was a Director in the healthcare team and brings a wealth of sector experience and a client base spanning the spectrum from funders to operators to voluntary sector bodies. Prior to this he was a Partner in the Edward Symmons healthcare team.
Tom Robinson said: “This is a unique opportunity to shape and deliver an advisory service to our clients – from scratch – focused on their specific requirements as opposed to a predetermined assumption of what they need, all with the support of a truly global real estate firm.”
Martin Robb, Cushman & Wakefield’s Head of Healthcare Advisory, added: “I’m delighted to welcome Tom. Our aim is to build the best team offering the best service to the best clients, initially on the advisory side and soon through the addition of transactional expertise in the healthcare arena.
“We are going from strength to strength. Having only started trading in April we already have more than £500 million of asset value to report on, and clients including banks, REITs, operators and private equity. While aspects of the market are challenging, we continue to see great opportunities for our clients across a wide range of healthcare sub-sectors.”
Healthcare Advisory is part of Cushman & Wakefield’s UK Valuation & Advisory team. Comprising approximately 240 professionals in 10 locations, the team valued 59,000 properties worth a combined £549bn – including £18bn worth of alternative investments – in 2015 and retained its position as the market leader in several sectors including retail, Central London, business space, outlet malls and self-storage.
