East Midlands property consultancy Innes England is celebrating another successful financial year with profits up nearly 13 per cent, while also making significant investments into a new Derby base and IT systems across the firm.
Last year, the firm changed its management structure to focus on specific business areas rather than traditional geographic areas – a move which managing director Tim Garratt believes has contributed to the firm’s growth over the last 12 months.
He said: “The shift to a discipline-based structure was very much geared towards expanding and improving the business, allowing us to better service our existing client base and ultimately grow that.
“The figures are encouraging, especially given the investments we have made over the last year into moving our Derby operation to new offices at Pride Park and a comprehensive upgrading of our IT and phone systems across the board.
“We have observed a steadily improving market over recent months, which has of course contributed to our continued growth as a firm both in terms of our financials but also our increased staff numbers and expanding client base.”
The firm, which has offices in Nottingham, Derby and Leicester, will continue to implement its strategy for growth over the coming year, with a new office space for its Leicester team among the items on the agenda.
Tim added: “Following the success of moving our Derby office to modern, open plan offices at Pride Park, we will be looking for new premises in Leicester this year which will be much more in line with the way we function as a firm and allow the team to better work together to deliver excellent results for our clients.
“This year has already started well, though the jury is out on exactly how the property market is likely to react to the period of uncertainty we all face following the Brexit vote.
“That said, we have a robust and ambitious strategy for growth and believe that our discipline-based structure along with our three regional bases allows us to effectively leverage the extensive experience of our senior team to the best effect to push the business further forwards.”
