The speculative construction of a new 44,400 sq ft business park in Kettering is now well advanced reports commercial property agent Prop-Search, with the first phase just having been completed and the second phase due for completion imminently.
The new 13 unit scheme – Pytchley Business Park – is located only a mile from Junction 9 of the A14 in a well-established business location. The Park’s owner, Jelmac Property Group, last year announced that it has secured the first pre-let to a family-owned removal and storage company for a new bespoke facility comprising 10,000 sq ft and subsequently a further 3,500 sq ft has also been let.
Mark Spooner, a Director of Jelmac Property Group, said: “It is great to see the first phase of units completed at the Park and to welcoming the first tenant taking occupation. The units offer occupiers, who have to date been unable to find suitable premises, an excellent opportunity to secure brand new quality space on the outskirts of Kettering and play an important role in supporting economic development in the area.”
Pytchley Business Park is being constructed by Tungsten Properties and offers business units of between 2,200 sq ft and 10,000 sq ft. Letting agent Prop-Search is currently in discussions with a number of other parties looking to make a commitment within the development.
Richard Baker, a Director at retained letting agent Prop-Search, added: “The schemes highly visibly position from the A14 and shortage of quality stock in the area has resulted in an extraordinary level of interest. Now that interested parties can see the scale and quality of the space available, and that the units are nearing completion, we expect to start converting these enquiries into deals.”
