Beach Baker, expert recruitment consultancy for the real estate sector, has so far raised over £1,500 in aid of the Great Western and London Air Ambulance charities by taking part in two triathlon events, Colliers Try-athlon in Bristol, and the JLL Property Triathlon at Olympic Games venue, Dorney Lake.
A team from the Bristol office has already competed in the Colliers Try-athlon, which took place on the 17th June in Tockington, Bristol. The participants were among 250 professionals from 52 leading companies taking part. Colliers’ event races included a 400m pool swim, 16km bike ride and 5km run.
Teams from the Bristol and London offices will be competing in the JLL Property Triathlon on the 1st July. The event, held at one of the 2012 Olympic Games venues Dorney Lake, in Windsor, is one of the UK’s top five largest triathlons and is celebrating its ten-year anniversary this year. The sprint triathlon races will include a 750m open water swim in the rowing lake, a 21.2km bike ride and 5km run to finish.
Taking part in both events, Rupert Stuart-Baker, Director, said: “We are really delighted to be fundraising for the Great Western Air Ambulance and the London Air Ambulance. Both charities are a lifeline for people in the communities and provide an essential service which help save lives of the critically injured. Competing in these triathlon events is definitely challenging, but the atmosphere and sense of achievement amongst competitors makes it a fantastic experience. We wish all the triathletes that are competing at the Property Triathlon all the best of luck”
