National fit out specialist Overbury has started work on the new offices of financial services software supplier Phoebus Software in Solihull.
The new 15,000 sq ft third floor offices at Lansdowne Gate were designed by Overbury’s innovative designers in its central team, with a key focus on staff wellbeing.
Once complete, the adventurous offices will encourage collaborative and flexible ways of working. In addition to the business hub, the wellbeing room and the colourful brainstorming zones will facilitate creativity.
Paul Hunt, managing director of Phoebus Software, said: “We’re delighted with the design of our new offices and excited to see our new workspace come together. We paid close attention to the design and style of the furnishings throughout the office as we believe that a more inspirational and comfortable office space will increase employees’ creativity and motivation.
“The health and happiness of our staff is really important to us at Phoebus and Overbury’s expertise in staff wellbeing was one of the key reasons we chose them for our fit out. Their work will undoubtedly help us to create an environment where we’re confident all of our employees can flourish.”
Michele Clifton, account manager at Overbury in Birmingham, said: “It is refreshing to find a company that is as attuned to the needs of its staff as Phoebus, and it is gratifying for our team to work on a project where this is the first consideration.
“Making small changes to office design can have a significant positive impact on staff wellbeing, which in turn can reduce staff absence and increase productivity and staff retention.”
Phoebus’ staff numbers have grown significantly in the past 12 months from 70 to 91 and it has acquired its new offices with space to continue its rapid growth and accommodate new employees joining in the coming months. The company is expected to move into the new office in August, when it will vacate its current home at Radcliffe House, Blenheim Court.
Overbury is providing a full turnkey solution with Phoebus Software Ltd, its second project this year at Lansdowne Gate, following its work on the 46,000 sq ft offices of National Grid.
