According to Swansea Bay Business Club’s latest Business Barometer, the vast majority of businesses across Swansea Bay are benefitting from the continued growth in the UK economy.
Almost 95 per cent of businesses throughout the region that took part in the latest Business Barometer are forecasting that business will remain positive in the next quarter.
The Business Barometer survey, which was designed by Swansea Bay Business Club to monitor the performance and attitude of local businesses towards the economy, also found that businesses are expecting an increase in staffing levels and capital investment as the region heads into one of its busiest periods for tourism.
President of Swansea Bay Business Club, Hayley Davies, said: “The economy has steadily grown over the past few years. 2015 was a great year for business in Swansea Bay and 2016 looks to be following suit with sustained growth in the local economy. It’s satisfying to see that the majority of businesses in the region are forecasting positive times ahead.
“With Brexit being a key topic of conversation for so many businesses across the UK, it is promising to see so many of our members, with 67 per cent of businesses surveyed, expecting an increase in profits in the next quarter.”
