Birmingham-based chartered surveyors Pennycuick Collins has announced further growth of its building consultancy team and a number of staff changes.
The firm has promoted Martin Purslow to associate partner, and appointed an additional building surveyor, Hasan Sidat.
Hasan, who graduated with a first class degree in building surveying from Coventry University in 2010, joins from international consultancy Faithful+Gould where he worked on a range of projects, taking schemes from inception through to practical completion.
Martin, who previously worked for EC Harris, joined to work closely with building consultancy partner Adrian Roddick as a senior building surveyor. At Pennycuick Collins, he has worked on a range of projects and professional instructions for both retained and new clients.
Adrian said: “We’re delighted to announce these positive changes to our building consultancy team.
“Since joining the firm, Martin has become an integral part of the team and we’re delighted to see him progress to associate partner.
“Hasan is a young surveyor with excellent technical knowledge, and so we’re very pleased to have him join the team. He is already settling in well and I look forward to working closely with him in the future.”
Martin said: “In my time with Pennycuick Collins I have been involved in some fantastic projects. I am grateful to Adrian and the team for their support in this time and I look forward to a successful future with the company as associate partner.”
Hasan said: “Pennycuick Collins has a proven track record of supporting young professionals to progress their careers. I’m therefore delighted to have joined the company and already feel at home.”
There is further good news for the building consultancy team with the announcement that Guy Travis has qualified as a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and is now a chartered building surveyor.
Adrian added: “We’re delighted for Guy, who I know has worked incredibly hard to become a fully-fledged chartered surveyor. It’s very important to Pennycuick Collins that we support and invest in young talent like Guy and I’m sure he’ll have a long and successful career with the firm as a result.”
