A major Warwickshire science park has opened a new centre which aims to help small and new businesses grow and flourish following an investment in the region of £750,000.
Stoneleigh Park has launched phase two of its highly successful Rural Innovation Centre.
It is the latest investment at Stoneleigh Park and includes the refurbishment of an existing building to create an additional 20 serviced offices and two meeting rooms.
A total of 14 of the new offices have already been let out to both new and expanding businesses.
One of the new businesses is DNA Nutritional Therapy and Skin Clinic which was recently launched by Lee-Ann Hughes.
As a qualified nutritional therapist, she works with clients to help them improve and regain their health.
Lee-Ann, from Coventry, said: “Often my clients are suffering with a degenerative disease such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes or cancer just to name a few, and conventional treatments don’t always work.
“Our individual eating habits, lifestyle choices and genetics all play a role in our health. What we do now will affect us in the future and I’m here to help clients dig deeper and find the root cause of their condition and not to just manage the symptoms of the disease.
“Alongside this I work with clients to improve their skin. I offer natural anti-ageing treatments and have just launched my own organic anti-ageing skincare range ‘DNASkincare’.
“Having a background in fitness and exercise I also work with clients in sports nutrition for performance and recovery as well as fat loss and weight management.
“I’m delighted to launch my business in phase two of the Rural Innovation Centre. It was created to help new businesses grow and provides a really flexible environment.”
The first phase of the Rural Innovation Centre is part of the Warwickshire Rural Growth Network, funded by DEFRA and led by Warwickshire County Council on behalf of the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership.
Wallis Lynch, a specialist accountancy recruitment firm within Warwickshire and the West Midlands, joined phase one in December 2014 and due to the company’s success it is now set to move into a larger office within phase two.
Founded by local entrepreneur Claire Maclachlan in 2013, she and her father Tim Maclachlan, who is an ex-banking professional, guided the company into a strong position which saw the arrival of two other established finance and accountancy recruiters.
Since then, the company’s continued success and a growing reputation means it now has nine members of staff and has also just launched another office in the East Midlands.
Claire said: “We are looking to grow to 12 consultants over the few months in our new offices – plus the office dog of course.
“Our candidates really complement us on our location from driving through the beautiful setting of Stoneleigh Park into the Rural Innovation Centre where we also have separate meeting rooms to interview.
