On behalf of Landlords DTZ Investors, Stiles Harold Williams (SHW) South London, Surrey and Kent Industrial Department and joint agents Cushman & Wakefield have recently completed the key lettings of units 20 and 23 Mitcham Industrial Estate, Mitcham.
Unit 20, consisting of 31,744 sq ft. has been let to Lidl UK on a new 5 year lease.
Unit 23, consisting of 27,612 sq ft. has been let to Selco Trade Centres Ltd. on a new 15 year lease.
Alex Gale, Partner and head of the Business Space team at SHW commented: “We are delighted to be able to facilitate these transactions – Lidl is one of the standout success stories of the high street, and Selco are a significant trade counter operator which will complement other users on the estate. There is just Unit 21 remaining which totals 21,314 sqft and is due to be refurbished shortly.”
David Peacock for the landlords DTZ Investors, advised “These are landmark deals which will put the Estate on the map as a destination for the trade and good quality covenants. These lettings will have a real impact on the estate as a whole and are testament to its strong location and property fundamentals”.
Richard Henderson from Cushman and Wakefield commented “This recent success highlights the continued improvement in occupier sentiment, leaving an acute lack of supply in the South London Industrial market.”
Chris Cunliffe, CEO for Selco stated: “We are delighted to have secured such a well-located unit. We have been experiencing rapid growth in our business and the location and quality of this property made it an ideal fit for our network, especially the roll out of the new City concept.”
Selco were represented by Colliers International. Lidl were unrepresented.
