An expanding Portsmouth firm is set to move into the next phase of its development with a new director of operations.
McAndrew Martin chartered surveyors has appointed Sam Rix in the newly created role to drive growth at the business across Hampshire, London and the South.
He is the latest recruit to join the 28-strong company as demand grows for its expert range of surveys, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering, architectural design and property related services.
McAndrew Martin director Ian Lee said: “Our strategy is to recruit the very best professionals so we are very pleased to welcome Sam to the business.
“He is a high-calibre appointment whose ambitions, drive for excellence and determination to succeed match our own.
“Sam will put significant systems in place to propel our business into its next phase of growth and deliver even better professional advice and personal service for our clients.”

Sam, who lives in Portsmouth, said: “McAndrew Martin is one of the most prestigious and high profile multi-disciplinary property companies on the south coast.
“The business has an excellent reputation locally, regionally and in London where it has worked on landmark MOD properties, such as Horseguards Parade.
“It is an exciting time to join McAndrew Martin and I’m looking to playing a major part in the next phase of growth at the firm.”
McAndrew Martin has an ongoing recruitment drive.
It is also seeking experienced residential surveyors, administrative assistants and mechanical engineers as well as professionals to join its inhouse structural engineering division.
The firm expanded in 2014 – its 25th anniversary year – with takeovers of Fareham-based Brunel Design Group and Cosham-based Veness Chartered Surveyors.
