M&G Real Estate has signed two new retailers at The Gracechurch Centre in Sutton Coldfield, with OFFICE and Tiger both taking stores in the town for the first time.
Danish lifestyle and homewares brand, Tiger will be moving into a 4,000 sq ft store as part of its expansion strategy across the UK and globally. The new store at the Gracechurch Centre has been secured on a five-year lease.
Jon Edwards of Tiger comments: “With stores across 28 countries we are delighted to have committed to open in Sutton Coldfield, where the demographics and mix of stores make for a clear proposition for our growing business. We hope to have the new Tiger at the Gracechurch Centre open to customers by September!”
Meanwhile, leading fashion footwear store OFFICE is preparing to open in a new 2,975 sq ft store on a ten-year lease.
The new additions to the Gracechurch Centre come following a positive year for the centre in 2015 when Swarovski opened a new shop and Pandora upsized to an 80 per cent larger store in response to strong trading performance in Sutton Coldfield. Since acquiring the 545,000 sq ft centre in Q3 2013, M&G Real Estate has attracted eight new brands to take space at the vibrant town centre hub including Topshop, Lakeland and Fatface.
Rupert Milne, Asset Manager at M&G Real Estate, said: “We invested in improving the look and feel of The Gracechurch Centre soon after our acquisition and have since drawn a range of new names to the Midlands town centre. It is a pleasure to be adding more exciting new brands to our line-up and, with continued interest in the scheme from a range of occupiers, we hope to have more news in the coming months.”
KLM Retail and Cushman & Wakefield represented M&G Real Estate. Rob Alston acted for Tiger, CBRE represented OFFICE and Swarovski were unrepresented.
