SEGRO plc (‘SEGRO’) has signed up Travis Perkins, the largest supplier of building materials in the UK, to the Slough Trading Estate. The 20,000 sq ft development at 4 Buckingham Avenue will be occupied by both Travis Perkins and Benchmarx Kitchens and Joinery, Travis Perkins’ trade-only kitchen business.
The pre-let development is being constructed to a shell specification, which will allow Travis Perkins to undertake their own fit out once SEGRO’s works are completed by the end of this year. Other Travis Perkins businesses already on the Slough Trading Estate include BSS Pipeline and Heating Supplies, Plumbing Trading Supplies (PTS) and Wickes.
Paul Lewis, Regional Director for the Thames Valley at SEGRO, said: “We’re extremely pleased to expand our relationship with Travis Perkins. Attracting such a well-known name to the Estate reinforces the credentials of the Slough Trading Estate as a fantastic location for any business in the Thames Valley and is another demonstration of our ability to develop space to suit the precise needs of our customers.”
A spokesperson for Travis Perkins, said: “We’re delighted to have worked with SEGRO to secure a site on the Slough Trading Estate for a brand new Travis Perkins and Benchmarx facility to replace our existing site in Slough. The new facility will enable us to better serve our customers in the Slough area and reinforces our position as the number one supplier of building materials in the UK. We look forward to opening the new branch in early 2017.”
A diverse range of businesses are represented on the Slough Trading Estate including Mars, Ferrari and IO, demonstrating its reputation as a leading location for companies in multiple sectors.
