Colliers International has taken over as joint agent for West Edinburgh Business Park – the capital’s only privately funded speculative development – after being instructed by developer J. Smart & Co (Contractors) PLC.
It comes after the park’s first letting to Mclcreate Limited: The leading provider of technical solutions for events and exhibitions took 50% of the space available in the first phase of the scheme, amounting to 1,227 sqm (12,207 sq ft), on a 15-year lease.
West Edinburgh Business Park offers a further 1,227 sq m (12,207 sq ft) of Classes 4, 5 & 6 industrial space with trade counter consent and a secure yard. Unit sizes range from 305 sq m (3,283 sq ft). Phases 2 & 3 also offer be-spoke design & build opportunities up to 3,716 sq m (40,000 sq ft).
Bryce Stewart, director, Industrial & Logistics at Colliers International, said: “West Edinburgh Business Park is an important development for the Scottish capital, which suffers from a lack of prime industrial space, at a time of growing demand. As it is currently the only privately funded speculative development in or around the city, we expect strong interest from ambitious businesses seeking out high quality premises in an excellent location.”
West Edinburgh Business Park is located on Marnin Way, on the south side of South Gyle Crescent, one of the principal arterial routes through South Gyle to the motorway network. The area earmarked for development extends to 1.69 hectares (4.19 acres).
Colliers International is marketing West Edinburgh Business Park with joint agent Burns & Shaw.
