With the 2012 Birmingham Law Society Legal Awards fast approaching, 12 companies from the city’s business community have thrown their weight behind the event by signing up as sponsors.
Seven category sponsors from the 2011 awards will be returning this year. These include The College of Law, Trainee Solicitor of the Year; Severn Trent Searches, Legal Executive of the Year; Giles Insurance Brokers, Assistant/Associate Solicitor of the Year; Brown Shipley Private Banking, Partner of the Year; Chiltern Railways, Law Firm of the Year (sole practitioner to 4 partners); Landmark Information Group LTD, Law Firm of the Year (5 – 15 partners); St Philips Chambers, Law Firm of the Year (16 partners or more).
Two new sponsors – Royal Bank of Scotland and Telford-based IT solutions firm e-know – have also joined the line-up.
Wesleyan for Lawyers, No5 Chambers, and Jaguar UK, which have sponsored the event previously, have also returned to lend their support to the event.
The Legal Awards will be held at The International Convention Centre (ICC) on March 22nd.
Andrew Lancaster, Birmingham Law Society President, said: “We are very grateful for the support all twelve companies have shown in sponsoring the awards.
“We are pleased to have gained two new sponsors as well as welcoming back companies which have sponsored us in previous years. The fact that businesses want to be continually associated with the awards is fantastic.”
The guest speaker at this year’s awards will be BBC sports presenter Clare Balding.
