A deal brokered by commercial property specialist Vail Williams will see National Express subsidiary West Midlands Travel open its doors at Birmingham’s landmark Temple Point building, following popular clothing retailer taking occupancy at its current premises.
Vail Williams secured the 10-year lease to the transport operator for 2,727 square feet of retail space over two floors at 95, Corporation Street. West Midlands Travel is relocating to Temple Point from its current location at Pavilion Shopping Centre, with the creation of Primark’s flagship store at the Pavilions.
Following Primark’s recent purchase of the premises, Vail Williams have used their regional expertise and local knowledge to secure the prominent and better placed Corporation Street location. It is ideally situated for West Midlands Travel, close to the city’s central business district and within a shopping area alongside other established names such as House of Fraser, Ladbrokes, Caffè Nero and Poundland.
The location is easily accessible for West Midlands Travel customers, with excellent transport links nearby – including the new tram line running directly past, and within walking distance of mainline train and metro stops at New Street, Moor Street and Snow Hill stations.
Steven Bott, Associate at Vail Williams’ Birmingham office, said: “We’re delighted that, through our expertise, we have been able to secure Corporation Street, Temple Point for West Midlands Travel. The new premises are in a great location, with more prominence than the existing site being boosted by the tram running past. Once again, our expert knowledge of the local area has enabled us to secure the right property for a valued client.”
Stuart Parker, Group Property Director and West Midlands Travel Board Director, says: “ We are thrilled with our new premises and are very grateful that Vail Williams have been able to apply their in-depth local and industry knowledge to secure such a good location. Corporation Street offers great exposure and connections for us as a business and, in many ways, has more potential than our existing site. We’re looking forward to moving in and opening our new location on the 20th May and thank Vail Williams for securing it for us.”
