Privately owned logistics company Howard Tenens has added to its property portfolio with the freehold acquisition of Phoenix Mill in Stroud, a 5,515 sq ft detached office property adjacent to its Gloucestershire head office.
The two storey Cotswold stone property on London Road in Thrupp, 1.5 miles from Stroud, will provide additional office accommodation for the company’s head office workforce which has grown substantially following a number of recent client wins.
John Hawkins, associate at Alder King’s Gloucester office which acted for the vendor, Haynes, said: “This was a logical acquisition for Howard Tenens, enabling it to provide improved office facilities for its growing workforce and adding to its already impressive 3 million sq ft UK property portfolio.”
Dan Morris, Executive Director at Howard Tenens, confirmed: “Our head offices have been based within the Stroud district since 1983 and in our present Thrupp offices since 1989. We have always employed exceptional staff in the area and, combined with our excellent growth in recent years, it was only natural to explore the purchase of these neighbouring offices to meet our present and future expansion plans. We will be fully refurbishing Phoenix Mill and look forward to occupying them next year.”
Howard Tenens represented itself in the transaction and the price has not been disclosed.
