Oxygen Freejumping has just signed for its 10 th site in the UK and is set to launch into Sheffield and Croydon within the next twelve months.
The company, which is spearheaded by David Stalker, former CEO of ukactive, and chaired by Fred Turok, ex CEO and chair of LA Fitness, is the largest and one of the highest quality operators in the UK. Oxygen has secured sites at Colonnades Leisure Park in Croydon and Archer Road in Sheffield and is investing over £11.5 million into new trampoline parks across the UK in the next twelve months.
David Stalker, CEO of Oxygen Freejumping comments, “We are already the largest operator in the UK and not only fit out our parks to the highest levels, but also offer the broadest range of activities. We are on a drive to secure more sites in key locations and to bring our mix of fun, adrenaline and training to every corner of the UK. We received £10 million of funding early this year and are in discussions with investors to achieve our aim of 30 sites by the end of 2017. This is an exciting and fast paced sector that has plenty of room for growth.”
Oxygen has signed a 15 year lease on a 29,000 sq ft unit at 619 Purley Way, Croydon. It has also agreed a deal with Virgin Active to convert a 42,000 sq ft gym at Archer Road, Sheffield into the ultimate trampoline park playground.
The company has assigned a sub-lease with 21 years remaining. Work will start on both sites this summer, with openings planned for next year.
The venues will provide fun for all ages with over 150 interconnected trampolines, dodgeball courts, airbags, club-level trampolines, and Ninja Warrior Courses.
The latest signings follows the success of the first two Oxygen sites in Acton and Southampton, which opened in 2015. In Acton alone there have been over 300,000 visitors in 11 months and the club has surpassed every expectation.
In January the company signed a deal with Lucozade Powerleague for five sites in Derby, Wigan, Blackburn, North Shields and Trafford Park. And last month, Oxygen announced plans to open at Cardigan Fields in Leeds. Wigan opened its doors to the public earlier this month, with Trafford Park planned for June.
Sheffield and Croydon locals will also be able to learn Freerunning in Oxygen Freejumping’s bespoke Freerunning courses designed by the Founder of Freerunning & Parkour Pioneer and James Bond villain, Sebastien Foucan.
Whether hosting a birthday party, training for a gymnastics competition, learning parkour, trying a new fitness regime, Oxygen will have something for everyone and will ensure you enjoy every bounce. There will also be sessions for Toddlers where the park comes to life for big and little kids, evening sessions with hours of strobe-lit bouncing, dodgeball games with a competitive and fun edge, and an Obstacle Course for those who want to set the quickest time.
For those looking to sit back, relax and watch the action there will be a viewing gallery with great coffee, cakes and healthy snacks all prepared on site.
Once launched the park will be open from 8am-10pm Monday to Saturday and 8am – 9pm on Sundays.
