A Bridgend-based IT and business communications specialist is ending the first half of the year on a high by securing a new contract with the South Wales Chamber of Commerce.
Following a competitive tender, Foresee Group, formerly Aspect, will be providing the Chamber with daily managed IT support through its team of Microsoft accredited experts.
As part of the programme of works, the business has implemented a cloud-based off-site backup for the Chamber and will also be running disaster recovery and business continuity assessments.
On the back of the initial contract, Foresee Group is now in talks with the Chamber to link in its fixed line technology to provide the full converged communication solution.
Julian Rowe, head of finance at the South Wales Chamber of Commerce, said: “We were very impressed by Foresee’s tender. They really demonstrated that they understood our organisation and the IT services that we required.
“We have always had IT support in-house but Foresee has shown that they are able to become an extension of our team.
“We like to support local Welsh businesses and we’re excited about our new partnership with Foresee Group.”
Set up in 2009 by Steve Matthews, the business originally just offered mobile solutions. However in 2011, it added IT solutions followed by fixed lines technology in 2013, so that it could offer clients the complete converged communication package.
The company has just launched its new brand, Foresee, having undergone a complete rebrand in light of the business’s recent development and success.
To stand apart from its competition and to reflect the three technologies the business now offers, it has changed its name from Aspect.
As part of this process, the company has created a new logo, incorporating the letter ‘c’ to demonstrate its visions and values, which are Converged, Communication, Continuity and Collaboration.
Steve Matthews, managing director of Foresee, said: “It’s a really exciting time for us at the moment. We’re thrilled to win the South Wales Chamber of Commerce as a new client as it’s such a well-respected organisation in Wales.
“Initially providing IT support, we’re hopeful that we will be able to demonstrate the benefits of our converged information and communications infrastructure to the Chamber going forward.
“Securing this work is a great end to the first half of the year, which has also seen us rebrand. We’re over the moon with our new look. I really wanted the rebrand to be a celebration of the growth and success we have achieved since we started in 2009.
“We wanted our new branding to embrace the three technologies and make it clear our services are integral and internal to set us apart from our competition.
“The name Foresee conveys the fact that we feel we are able to help our customer foresee the future of technology and how it will help them increase profitability in their business and gain advantage over their competitors.
“We’re delighted with what our new brand stands for and how this is reflected in our new visual identity, and we have already received positive feedback from our clients.”
