A fast-growing East Midlands engineering firm is set to double the size of its office headquarters after commercial property specialists from NG Chartered Surveyors secured an off-market deal.
Acting on behalf of the Maplebeck Holdings Pension Fund, NG has brokered a deal to acquire the 5,000 sq ft Denison House for Caunton Engineering, one of the UK’s leading full-automated structural steelwork contractors.
Denison House, on the Moorgreen Industrial Estate in Nottinghamshire became available last year following the collapse of electrical mechanical contracting firm DH Fathers.
Richard Sutton, director at NG, said:
“Denison House never made it to the open market as we moved so quickly. The new owners have plans to radically change and increase the size of the building, almost doubling its size to accommodate the main office, administration, design and technical studios of Caunton Engineering.”
This is the latest in a series of acquisitions NG have completed at Moorgreen Industrial Estate.
Richard added:
“This was an opportunity that was simply too good to ignore as my client had been considering a number of options in trying to accommodate the company’s expansion plans. Denison House came along exactly at the right time.”
Simon Bingham of Caunton Engineering said: “We are a rapidly growing business, and we’re delighted to be able to secure the space we need to expand in a quick and easy deal. As ever when dealing with Richard and the NG team, the process was dealt with in the most professional manner and with the minimum of fuss. We are looking forward to growing our team at Denison House.”
Steve Gillot at FHP advised the vendors.
