A company that helps people ship their belongings when they relocate to a different country has made a move of its own into Warwickshire.

Seven Seas Worldwide, which was established in the 1990s, has moved its regional base from Daventry to the Grovelands Industrial Estate, next to Junction 3 of the M6 in Exhall. The deal was agreed with D&P Holt, the letting agent for the estate, for a ten year lease term.

Eight staff will be based at the unit and will assist people from the region who are emigrating or studying overseas as well as helping those coming to the UK in getting their items here.

“The student market is quite a lucrative one,” said Wayne Mills, of Seven Seas Worldwide, who will be based at Grovelands. “But the relocation business is growing generally so we needed a bigger footprint and that’s what led to the move.

“We operate all over the world – from Australia to China and from the US to Europe – and location is important to us when we are moving so many goods for so many people.

“With this move, we are right next to the M6 junction and that is absolutely ideal.”

The firm also offers a general shipping and parcel service, based on its expertise in moving goods across territories.

The company’s move has come on the back of general investment and improvement at the Grovelands Industrial Estate.

Peter Holt, a director of D&P Holt, said: “I am very pleased that we have been able to assist in Seven Seas Worldwide’s move – it’s an ideal location for anyone who has to move goods by road.

“Companies are crying out for this type of refurbished space and this type of location and, fortunately, there are more units coming available on the estate, following the recent relocation of tenants into larger facilities elsewhere.

“In the next couple of months, there will be opportunities from 9,440 sq ft right up to 43,000 sq ft and there is already significant interest.”
